“Of Intervention, Immigration & the U.S.”        

 Kathy Kelly is a globally recognized peace activist, co-founder of Voices in the Wilderness, and co-coordinator of Voices for Creative Nonviolence. Her talk will address the role of US military interventions across the world and how these are related to immigration to the US from targeted countries.

 She advocates against nuclear weapons, US military interventions in foreign lands, and is a the co-founder of a Catholic Worker house in Chicago. She has been active recently in Iraq and Afghanistan, and has received numerous awards including the Pax Christi USA Teacher of Peace Award, the US Peace Memorial Foundation Peace Prize, and the Veterans for Peace Gandhian Non-Violence Award. She has also been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
